I went to an local farm the other day and found this big guy. I was mesmerized by his orange eyes and his scaly legs. It is amazing to look at him up close. I tried to get a good picture of just his eye, but he moved around too much.
Perhaps it’s just my mind, but I can see a little Mona Lisa smile on his beak. The black feathers and the shadows cast on around his eye add a dark twist to the smile. He seems to mock or plot an evil plan.

My family and I jsut moved into our new house. The place was vacant for over a year, so the backyard is pretty destroyed. There’s no grass, it’s all dirt. We decided to try our hand in gardening by planting the grass from the seed. It’s been four days since we laid down the seed. The seed bag said it takes about six weeks for the grass to be in full growth. We’re really watching the grass grow.

For this picture I used my camera’s manual white balance. I set it to equal to the sky.

I’ve decided to make this collection in dedication of my eight year old sister, Dany, who what recently taken up painting.

After many failed attempts:

Flash used.

Picture taken with no flash. I’ll post the one with the flash tomorrow.

Found this pattern on the side of a conga drum.

Sorry I haven’t posted for a while, been busy with school and holidays and what not.
Took this at the Los Angeles ScienCenter. The structure is a hyper– hyper something. The shadow is mine.
Happy New Year to everyone.

Finally, after about a week of gray smoky skies, it seems like the blue ones are back in Southern California. I think school will reopen tomorrow.

yes! I finally managed to photograph my eye. Whooooo!

Here’s the new header of my blog Give Me Wings Please
——————————————————————————————-
The header image of this blog was made using Photoshop and these pictures:

The sphere was cut out and pasted onto a layer on top of the sky picture. Then, the colors inside the bubble, were merged using the blur tool. Excess was cut off. The wing of the Pegasus was changed to monochrome. Then it was pasted onto another layer on top of the sphere. It was resized and positioned. Then it was pasted again. Then it was flipped horizontally and positioned one more time.
The final version:

Is that what these are called?

I know it’s been a while. I’ve been busy with school. Here are two more pictures from when I went tide pooling. A little tiny crab and a gang of sea urchins:

I don’t what this animal is called. It reminded me of the sea anemone where Nemo lives in Finding Nemo.

The original picture features three flowers, all shown here and it’s dimensions were 3296 x 2472. The pictures below are all different crops from different parts of the same picture.

No animal was harmed in any way.
